I was guided to Checkendon Equestrian because of the Horseback Archery that the centre is able to provide. Their Coach is Dimitri and the guy is so full of knowledge its fantastic. Be it beginner to international the man can help. He's got access to great horses and he can help develop your ability. I talk from experience in a year I've gone from student grades to higher grades ibecause him and his horses that he selects for you to ride. I really recommend Dimitri as a coach/ teacher and instructor if your interested in Horseback Archery

Went last minute and we had a great time. The grounds, facilities, and equipment are excellent. Jessica took my daughter on a walk in the woods on a lovely pony called Poppy. Great fun and will come again.

Myself and my daughter booked for a Two hour hack on Sat 9th September 2021 and what a fantastic time we had. Upon arrival, we were met by really friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The route we were taken on involved a little road work but then we were out in the open and galloping in the adjoining fields. The horses were feisty and were really enjoying themselves which made it even more exhilarating. Fantastic day had 👍🏻😊

Horses are well cared for and riding there is such fun. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A great place to start or even just for fun. Highly recommend.

We had a really lovely girl called Maddie who took us out on her lovely pony. We went through some beautiful woods, I rode a very comfortable forward going chestnut called Joe. He was great. My friend rode a huge boy called Shrek. Maddie was excellent, the perfect host, friendly and professional. The owner/lady in the main office was rather frosty - otherwise it would be a 5 star from me. Thank you!

Great riding school, with indoor and outdoor training areas. Set in the Chiltern Hills so lots of scenic hacking routes are on the doorstep.

We've always been very pleased with our riding lessons here, Anna is very patient and a great teacher. You do have to hang about sometimes for things to be ready but you always get your full time in the school and it's well worth it. Horses are good - some are very wide and uncomfortable to sit on for a beginner for an hour. However You can choose (I think ) what pony you want when you get to know them.
